Happy Blogaversary!!

What's Up Y'all.  Well it's official...as of yesterday my blog turned 1 years old!! I can't believe it! I never thought that blogging would be something that I would be interested in.  I even said that I would never do it!! NEVER say NEVER!!  I have met (virtually)so many wonderful educators across the US...that is truly amazing to me!  I want to thank each and every follower and those who I have forged a special bond with...you know who you are!!!  If any of you ever need any assistance in any way...don't hesitate to ask!

Show Me Some Bloglovin - a Giveaway for Bloglovin Followers!

You have probably heard by now that Google Reader is going away on July 1st.  Well, Google Reader may be going away, but I don't want YOU to go away, so I hope that you will consider following my blog through Bloglovin'!  I know that change is hard...so I thought I might sweeten it up for you a little bit!

MIA!!! and Bloggy Buddy Giveaway!!

I have been MIA for one full week! I don't know why I thought that being on summer vacation would make things easier for me as far as blogging in concerned but it has not!!! These two classes are kicking my butt hind pots as my Grandma used to say!!! Nevertheless...I persevere...they are both almost over and I can get back to some semblance of normalcy! It's so bad that I haven't even had time to create anything new for my Teachers Notebook store... Please hang in there with me, and know that my heart is in it...just trying to make time for it!!!

100 Followers, Back To School Writing, and a Giveaway!!

I have reached 100+ Followers!! Woooooo Hoooooo!!! Oh sorry!! Can you tell I am a little excited!!!!! Does that mean I am relevant in the Bloggy World?? I have met some real sweet bloggy friends-Life is Grand!!! I know, I know!! I'm done! Look for my giveaway coming up-this weekend! Oh, If you are interested in helping me out with my give away please let me know!!

Any who!! I found the cutest book to use for my first back to school writing activity. And guess what? It has a western theme....Too cute....

I will read aloud this story to my students and talk about how the character used his imagination to tell how he spent his summer vacation.  We will brain storm different things to do on summer vacation real and made up.  I will then have students create their own story real or make believe, using the writing prompt "How I Spent My Summer Vacation." I will have my students write their final copy on this writing page. Click on the picture to grab a copy..
