What's Up Y'all!! Can you believe that it is already August? Where did my summer go?
I'm linking up with Farley for the August Currently.
listening: I am absolutely obsessed with love DJ...As a matter of fact I was listening to his new album Forever last month typing my July Currently. He is such an underrated R&B singer. He has such a smooth and mellow sound...I am currently grooving to his very first album from 1996 My Heart...it is on repeat!!!
loving: That I have lost 36 pounds. I have given up fast food, junk food, and cherry pepsi (Yes!! I was addicted!!) and I am committed to living a healthy lifestyle. I started out walking 5 miles a day in May and moved into running 2 miles in July. I am very pleased with myself. I still have a ways to go but I have made headway and I am seeing results. I am not really a picture taker and was at home alone when I snapped these pics...I was on my way out to hang go out with some friends...
thinking: I have so much to do before school starts back in a week. I need to create a To Do List so that I can stay focused to make sure that I get everything done.
wanting: To clone myself. If there were about two more of me, one could be at school getting my room ready, one could be at home cooking and cleaning, and one could continue to work on my masters and get all my writing assignments done and do my internship for me...then I could do away with my To Do List...lol
needing: I really, really, really need to get my office cleaned out and organized. I have been putting this off for so long, because it is a very daunting task and I am so overwhelmed. I started purging yesterday and made a little progress. I will continue the task of getting rid of things that I have not used.
B2S must haves:
1. My personal laminator-my school does not have one so this is not an option.
2. My Cameo...believe it or not...I feened desperately wanted one but haven't even used it yet...will definitely put it to use this weekend creating some things for my classroom.
3. This cute 1st grade "Back To School Bash" created by Stephanie at Falling Into First

Now it's your turn...head on over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade to link up!
I'm Out!!! Have a Super Saturday!!
Congrats Crystal on losing the weight!! I really need to get back on track. I fell off the wagon the first of July:(
ReplyDeleteI have a personal laminator and have never used it {but I just had to have it}. I can't imagine not having one at school. That's the one thing our school hasn't given limitations on yet unlike the copy machine.
Have a great day!!

Hi Heather,
DeleteThank you dear!! I usually fall off once school starts but I am determined not to let that happen...I have come too far to stop now!!
Crystal, you look so good! I wish I was as committed as you are to healthy living! I keep telling myself that once school starts back I will do better! Right now, all of those cokes are helping me finish up this capstone project!

An Apple a Day in First Grade
Hey Karen,
DeleteThank you so much!! I feel good...not overly exhausted anymore. I went cold turkey with the sodas...I had given them up before but then, when I needed a fix(lol) when I was at school I would break down and get one. I refuse to do it now. I will have to keep water at school as a substitute!!
I am a new visitor traveling over from Farley...I also teach first grade....your blog is so cute! Congrats on the weight loss...36 lbs. is AMAZING! I am also really impressed that you have started running...props to you!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my personal laminator. Like you, I find it more of a necessity...our school has a laminator, but it is very old and doesn't get hot enough anymore. There is nothing worse than spending money on a poster or taking time to write up an anchor chart and then having the laminator ruin it. :( I take the big stuff now to the school supply store to get laminated (they don't charge much), but the personal laminator can handle most of what I need to laminate. Do you get the big packs of laminating sheets at Sam's/Costco?

Hello Melinda,
DeleteThank you so much! Love my laminator...the next best thing since sliced bread!!! lol
Congrats on the weight loss! I hope I can loose all this baby weight once the baby comes!!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Christy’s Leaping Loopers
Thank you Christy!! You will!
DeleteYou should be very proud of yourself for making such great lifestyle changes. Losing weight should be about lifestyle and not diets (in my opinion). Are you going to sign yourself up for a 5K fun run? :)

Hi Tammy,
DeleteOhhhhh Noooooo!! I am not quite ready for a 5k run at the moment. Maybe that could be something that I could aspire to.
Congrats on the weight loss! You look gorgeous...and are totally rockin' that outfit!!! I so need to get back on my healthy kick...I go through phases. I have been terrible all summer but hubby and I decided it's time to get back to it. You have inspired me! Enjoy the remainder of your weekend....Vicky
